Cress seeds

We got some cotton wool, sprinkeld some cress seeds on it, watered the seeds and left the plastic cup sitting on the window sill.  We watered our seeds daily and within two days our seeds had sprouted and began to grow. We learned that plants need water, sunlight and soil to grow but in the case of cress seeds we were able to use cotton wool instead of soil.
