summertime 2011
We read the book 'Handa'a Surprise' and wondered how hard it was for Handa to carry a basket of fruit on her head. We tried to balance books on our heads instead!
We did some printing with bubble wrap and managed to create some nice patterns.
It took our cocoons 2 weeks to hatch into butterflies. Four out of five cocoons hatched successfully.
We can make coloured patterns using peg boards.
We released our butterflies today as the sun was shining.
We handled them with great care as they are very delicate creatures. We were a little sad setting them free as will will miss having them in our classroom .
